Short Inca Jungle 3 Days

First Day

Cusco (3350m asl) > Santa Maria (1250m asl) > Santa Teresa (1540m asl) – Biking (Rafting optional)
We will pick you up from your hotel at 6:30am to leave by bus for an approx. 90 minute ride through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing through Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo Where we’ll take a 15 minute break then head to the Puerto Malaga Pass (4350m asl.) From there, we’ll traverse the pass by bike toward wamanmarca (3 hours. After the bike ride, we’ll take a mini-bus to of Santa maria –santa Teresa. In Santa Teresa, you can enjoy the hot springs or do an extra rafting tour (not included) on the Vilcanota River. (Lunch, Dinner, Hostal.)

Second Day

Santa Teresa (1540m asl) > Aguas Calientes (2000m asl) – Hiking (Zip-line optional)
Breakfast and 7am. Before the hike, you’ll have the option to do zip-lining (not included.) We’ll hike for about 3 hours on an unpaved trail to a hydroelectric plant, where we’ll have lunch. Following lunch, we’ll continue for another 3 hours along railroad tracks, observing the flora and fauna of the area. The Machu Picchu site can be seen in the distance. We will finish hiking and arrive at Aguas Calientes around 5pm. That night, we’ll stay in a hostal with prívate bathrooms and hot wáter. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Hostal.).

Third Day

Machu Picchu (2450m asl)
At 4:20am we’ll begin a 90 minute hike up to the Machu Picchu city where we’ll have the opportunity to see the sun rise over the ruins. Then we’ll have two-hour guided tour of the ruins followed by some free time to explore the ruins or climb Huayna Picchu. Note: Climbing Huayna Picchu has a fee of $10 US. After Machu Picchu, we’ll catch the train back to Ollantaytambo and from there take a 2 hour bus ride back to Cusco.

RAIN SEASON

November to March. Some days blue sky with good conditions to cycle.

BEST TIME FOR CYCLE

April to October, on the rain season same days are with good weather (blue sky) permiting to cycle this zone. Before to book your tour please see the weather report.

ADVICE FOR BIKERS

To have good acclimatization, good physical conditions and good quality winter clothes. One day before all the bikers will have meeting with the mountain bike guide at our office or in the hotel, who will give a BRIEFING about this bike trip and also you can check the quality of bikes and gear will be used on this trip.
